Shoe Size Guide
Ensure proper shoe fit by measuring feet in the afternoon while wearing intended socks, allowing for a 3/8 to 1/2 inch (thumb's width) gap between the longest toe and the shoe tip. The heel should feel snug without slipping, and the widest part of the foot should rest comfortably in the shoe's widest part.
Key Fitting Principles
- Measure Both Feet: Feet often differ in size; always fit to the larger foot.
- Standing Tall: Measure while standing to account for foot spread.
- Toe Room: Ensure toes can wiggle to prevent calluses and numbness.
How to Measure at Home
- Trace: Place a piece of paper on the floor, stand on it, and trace your foot, keeping the pen upright.
- Length: Measure from the heel centre to the longest toe in mm.
- Width: Measure across the widest joint of your foot.
- Calculate: Subtract roughly 3-5mm from your tracing for the pen width to get an accurate measurement, then use a brand-specific size chart.
